I dove twice in pantar strait - in 2010 and 2011 - each time with cedric - la p'tite kepa on pulau kepa, off alor kecil - and everything was fine - dives, accommodation, food ... the place has a friendly atmosphere and is excellent value for money, in my opinion. and, it has the advantage you mention - that it is close to the really interesting dive spots. and, there are three nice white sandy beaches on the island. all the best christine, belgium thanks for this info.
